RAID Calculator

The RAID Calculator helps storage administrators plan disk arrays by computing usable capacity, parity overhead, fault tolerance, and minimum drive requirements for RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and 50. Enter the number of drives and individual drive capacity, select your desired RAID level, and see results instantly. The tool displays total raw capacity, usable capacity after parity or mirroring, storage efficiency as a percentage, and the maximum number of drives that can fail without data loss. It also warns when your drive count is insufficient for the selected RAID level. Use it when specifying hardware for new servers, evaluating the trade-offs between capacity and redundancy, or validating a vendor's storage proposal. All arithmetic runs in your browser — your configuration data is never transmitted anywhere.
